The Forest Community Centre is holding a quiz night next month to raise funds for the facility.
The event will take place on Saturday 20th September and will be themed around the Melksham News.
It is part of a series of fundraising events organised by the centre following an arson attack early last year. The fire damaged the toilets and changing rooms used by youth football and Sunday league teams, and led to all activities at the centre, located off Bowmans Court, being suspended.
To help cover the costly repairs, Forest Youth Football Club set up a GoFundMe page, with the community rallying in support.
Soon after, the centre launched a series of fundraising events, including a Christmas fayre, a family fun day, coffee mornings and monthly quizzes.
“We don’t make any money, everything we raise goes back into the building,” said a member of the centre’s committee, Sara Phelps.
“Our quizzes are really good; they usually sell out. Tickets cost £5 per person and include a full ploughman’s buffet, and we cater for dietary requirements.
