MELKSHAM’S One Voice Community Choir will give its first ever official performance at the Riverside Club this weekend.
The community choir will give the ‘An Afternoon of Favourite Music’ performance from 3pm on Sunday 4th December. The Melksham branch is one of five One Voice groups in Wiltshire and Somerset and was formed in January.
Following a ‘warm-up’ charity gig in September, this will be a full concert from a repertoire built up over the past months – expect to hear popular songs ranging from the 1930s to the present day, with plenty of recognisable 60s and 70s hits.
One Voice is based on good, uplifting songs that everyone loves to sing – with a strong emphasis on fun and the social aspect.
There are no auditions and an ability to read music is not required. The local meeting takes place on Thursday evenings in the hall of Melksham United Church.
‘An Afternoon of Favourite Music’ is at The Riverside Club, Melksham, on 4th December at 3pm.
Tickets are £7 to include a buffet, available from choir members or 01373 825058/07766 244321. Find out more online at www.onevoicechoir.co.uk
