A Melksham community interest company enjoyed a lively Oktoberfest celebration last month to fund its ongoing support project.
Meadowbrook Community Interest Company helps to support people experiencing health problems and social isolation.
The group hosted the Oktoberfest celebration at the Rachel Fowler Centre on Friday 25th September, raising over £500 to fund their work.
Meadowbrook CIC collaborated with two local companies, Melksham micropub, The Hiding Place, who donated drinks for the event and Vintage Marquees, who supplied various bar games and barrels.
Guests were serenaded by a Wiltshire Bavarian brass band, The Oompapas, and enjoyed a variety of donated German treats.
Director and founder of Meadowbrook CIC, Grace Dalgleish, said, “It was a really joyful evening in the characterful venue of the Rachel Fowler Centre – an old church that really added to the atmosphere.”
