The Bowerhill site occupied by Cooper Tires is up for sale, ahead of the end of their lease in December.
The 14-acre site on Lancaster Road has been listed for sale with ‘development potential’ via property consultants ES Group, who intend to sell the land in plots of between one and 14.01 acres, with or without the existing buildings.
The land can be purchased for £360,000 per acre, or the whole site is listed for £5,043,600.
The eight former RAF hangars – situated either side of Christie Miller Sports Centre – are currently occupied by Cooper Tires, who also have a manufacturing site on Bath Road in Melksham.
Cooper’s occupational lease will expire on 30th December this year, but ES Group’s website says the site is available as “an existing freehold site (current business unaffected) for future redevelopment.”
At the time of going to print Melksham Independent News had received no reply from enquiries to Cooper Tires.
