COSTA Coffee has opened its doors in Melksham. The coffee shop chain officially opened on Friday 21st June on the High Street, occupying the empty premises left by Clinton Cards and a photo shop.
The shop has created five new jobs in Melksham with every member of staff being newly recruited. Costa have also confirmed more jobs are to be created later in the year.
Carlene Gee, manager of the new shop said, “We believe we will bring more business to the town as Melksham becomes a more attractive place to visit. We have only just opened but we have already been welcomed by the community as customers and local shopkeepers come in and say hello.
“They have been saying how we are a good thing for Melksham and that we have a beautiful store and provide a fresh look for the town.
“Customers can expect to find a real friendly community spirit in a lovely bright shop. All staff are local and we aim to provide a fast, efficient and friendly service.
“Other businessess have reacted to us opening with a positive attitude so far. The convenience it causes will help draw more people in”
The coffee shop which also offers snacks and sandwiches will be open 7.00am-6.00pm Monday to Friday, 8.00am-6.00pm on Saturdays and 9.00am-5.00pm on Sundays.
