INGRAM ROAD, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Officers on patrol stopped a driver in a vehicle following a suspected drug deal that had just occurred. A drugs wipe test was conducted on the driver tested positive for cannabis and cocaine. The male arrested on suspicion of drug driving. During a stop search, officers found a quantity of white powder suspected to be Class A drugs. The male was further arrested on possession with intent to supply The male, in his 20’s, from the Melksham area was later released RUI (Under Police Investigation)

BATH ROAD, SHURNHOLD, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Officers on patrol followed a suspicious vehicle from Broughton Gifford into Melksham. They stopped the vehicle and conducted a drugs swipe on the driver which tested positive for cocaine. The male was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. The male, in his twenties from the Melksham area was later released RUI (Under Police Investigation)

Crime – Threat to cause criminal damage

LINCOLN GREEN, MELKSHAM, (ED11) A male was arrested by the Police for threatening to cause criminal damage by damaging and burning down a fence. Terry CAVEN, 32, of LINCOLN GREEN, MELKSHAM was later charged and remanded. He appeared in court on the 8th June as was found guilty and given a community order to undertake 60 hours community service and pay fees of £95.
