WORK has begun at the former George Ward School site as buildings are demolished ready for a new housing estate.
The former school, which closed in 2010 and was occupied by Wiltshire Council staff while their new site was being built, will include 261 new houses by Persimmon Homes.
Despite a number of local people objecting to the new housing estate, Wiltshire Council granted Persimmon Homes planning permission in September last year.
