Find a charity shop bargain and support you local hospice!
DOROTHY House Furniture store on Church Street, is promising that there is many a bargain to be had during its ‘special’ sale.
The shop has organised the sale to encourage shoppers who may be put off coming to the town centre because of traffic caused by ongoing works to the bridge on Bath Road.
Shop manager Hugh Morrison says, “Since the town bridge road works started on 10th February we’ve noticed a marked decline in customers visiting our Dorothy House stores on Church Street due to the build-up of traffic on the bypass and through the town centre.
“We raise funds for your local Dorothy House hospice at Winsley, so this lack of trade could impact the care we are able to give at a crucial time. To encourage our customers to persevere with the traffic we have put on a special sale event with bargains across the whole store, from sofas to bedroom furniture, dining suits to a large selection of electrical items, there are lots of bargains to be had.
“Our team of amazing volunteers continue to battle the congestion giving their generous time to support our stores during this difficult period but new colleagues are always welcome swelling the ranks to share the workload, just drop by the store if you’re interested.
“Our van team have also been hit by the traffic but have done their very best to completed the free furniture and electrical collections in the local area, if you need to book us please don’t hesitate to call us on 01225 704244. Help us to support your local hospice.”
