The Dressage to Music Evening being held on Thursday 10th April will bring together the amazing talents of Claire Lilley, Lorraine Mahoney and The Semingtones ladies choir.
Claire Lilley (BHS AI, Int. Teach and SM) has been teaching riders and their horses for over 30 years. She trained in Germany as a Berieter, and has competed at top level in dressage and show jumping. Claire travels around the UK and abroad to give her inspirational lessons, clinics and Boot Camps and is a listed dressage judge. She has also written several books, is a regular contributor to national equestrian magazines and has her own series of Training Programme DVDs. The Claire Lilley Training Centre is located in Melksham.
Lorraine Mahoney (CT ABRSM, ATCL) is a lyric soprano. She has given recitals across the South of England, won national singing competitions, and in 2006, she made her debut with the Perth Oratorio Choir, Australia as soprano soloist. She returned by invitation from the choir in 2007 and again in 2009.
In 2010, she was presented to and sang for HRH The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester at a prestigious anniversary dinner in London, accompanied by The British Imperial Military Band.
She teaches singing for Wiltshire Music Service and runs The Semingtones which is part of West Wiltshire School for Performing Arts (WWSPA). Lorraine is also a BHS qualified groom. At the Dressage to Music Evening to be held at the West Wilts Equestrian Centre, Melksham Road, Holt, Nr. Melksham (BA14 6QT) on 10th April, 7.00 – 10.00pm, Claire and her horses will show how a routine to music is put together from scratch, and how to choose the music and the movements.
Lorraine and her choir, The Semingtones will perform popular tunes throughout the evening, which will get everyone’s toes tapping! The evening will have some light-hearted and hilarious moments! There will also be a raffle for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, and the Brooke Animal Hospital.
