Macmillan Cancer Support is hosting its annual ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ with fundraisers around the country serving up coffee (and tea) and cake, all in aid of the charity.
In 2018, Melksham raised hundred of pounds for Macmillan and this year should be no exception, with coffee mornings being held across Melksham and surrounding villages including:
• Rowley Place Community Centre Mad Hatter’s tea party, Thursday 26th September, from 11am. Organisers say, “We have cakes, a toy raffle, bric-a-brac, and a ‘goodies’ raffle. Everyone is welcome.”
• Seend Trust & Community Centre, Rusty Lane, Friday 27th September, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
• Spencer Sports and Social Club, Beanacre Road, Friday 27th September from 10am. Host Marilyn Jay says, “Raising money for a fantastic cause. Serving hot and cold drinks, lots of cake, or sausage rolls for those without a sweet tooth. Raffle tickets on sale now! Gluten free cake and vegan sausage rolls available.”
• Melksham Cricket Club, at the pavilion in the grounds of Melksham House, Friday 27th September, from 10am. Organisers say, “Be part of something amazing.”
• San Marco, Bank Street, Friday 27th September, from 12pm to 5pm. Organisers say, “Gathering all our fellow tea, coffee drinkers and cake munchers! Every penny raised will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support to help them be right there for people living with cancer.”
