MELKSHAM Town Council is offering a host of free activities this February for all the family.
On Tuesday 19th February, take part in a button art workshop between 10am-12pm at Melksham Town Hall. Join in this fun free workshop for all the family to create your very own piece of art with buttons. Templates will be available. Suitable for all ages.
On Wednesday 20th February, a ‘Sports Roadshow’ will come to the Assembly Hall from 10am-4pm. This free activity session will include a bouncy castle for all ages and indoor sports activities. A tuck shop will also be available.
On Thursday 21st February, a truffle-making workshop will run from 10am-12pm at Melksham Town Hall. This popular activity returns from the Family Learning Festival in October. It is an opportunity for families to come along and make your own truffles for free.
On Friday 22nd February join in the latest craze spreading across Melksham with #MelkshamRocks at King George V Pavilion from 10am-2pm.
Whether it’s your first time or you’re a regular rocker, the group invite you to go along and paint your own #Melkshamrocks for free. Suitable for all ages and abilities. You can also bring your own rocks or equipment for decorating, materials will be supplied.
Every Tuesday and Thursday at Melksham Library from 10.30am-11am join in with Rhyme Time.
Organisers say, “Rhyme Time is a fun group singing session for all preschool children and their parents/ carers. Singing together and repeating rhymes helps your child develop listening, visual and memory skills, which will help them all the way through school.”
This half-term there are some great activities at the Canberra Centre with Young Melksham. Open Monday 18th to Friday 22nd February from 2pm-5pm. Entry is £2.50 per session or a week-long pass is £10. Open to all young people in Year 5 and above.
