LOCAL woman Gillian Hobbs, along with friends and family, raised £720 for RUH Bath’s NICU Special Care Baby Unit by organising a raffle at Forest Community Centre’s anniversary party.
Gillian, who raises a lot of money for various charities said, “We decided to raise money for Bath NICU centre because it is very close to our hearts. They help so many babies and save so many lives, including my grandson, Marley Bailey, and a close friend’s baby, Alfie Adams.
“It was an absolutely brilliant day. We want to say a special thank you to all the companies that donated prizes for the raffle. They were fantastic prizes and so many commented about how lucky they were to win.
“Huge thanks to Sally Narrow Boats, who donated the biggest prize for the raffle. We raised £200 from that prize alone so we are really grateful to them.
“Also we want to thank Tracey Jackson from Asda who came down to help us on the stall. But most importantly, thank you to each and every person who attended and supported our stall.”
