THE family and friends of Ben Smith, who died two years ago, aged just 18, after being assaulted on a night out in Bath, gathered in his memory at the scene of the incident on Corn Street, Bath recently.

No-one has been prosecuted for Ben’s death, as the Crown Prosecution Service has said there is not enough evidence to bring charges.
But, following a successful campaign from the family, a coroner’s inquest into his death is now taking place at the Coroner’s Court in Bristol.
“The inquest is our last chance to get justice for our son,” says Ben’s mother, Rachel. The inquest is expected to last until this Friday, 24th November.
