THE Williams family will be taking part in the Alzheimer’s Society’s ‘Memory Walk’ next week to raise money for charity.
Kelly Williams and her two sons, 16-year old Cameron and 8-year old Ethan, and their dog Bracken, will walk around Melksham and Bowerhill combined on 20th March.
They have set themselves a fundraising target of £100 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
“Although not in the same league as John ‘O Groats to Lands End, it’s quite a trek for my 8-year old to be undertaking,” said Kelly. “We are walking in memory of my nan, who had Alzheimer’s, but also for the countless people who live with this debilitating disease.
“We’re walking for the family members who have to watch loved ones’ health decline and often forget who people are. Covid has hit us all hard, but for those living with dementia it’s been especially hard; we want to show our support of them.”
