Staff from Somerset Care’s Wiltshire Community Services team are always looking for new ways to raise money for charity.
On Friday 13th November the team, based at Challeymead Business Park in Melksham, took on the Children in Need challenge of dressing up. Staff wore costumes to represent their favourite pop icons, ranging from Abba to Lady Gaga.
Their fundraising effort was added to by the tenants at Manor Court Sheltered Housing Scheme, who donated money that they had raised throughout the year at their lunch club. The grand total came to £193.89 for the charity.
Speaking on their efforts, Jenny Futcher, business manager said, “I’m so proud to be part of a team that puts so much effort into supporting charity events. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Manor Court for their contribution.”
