What better way to spend a Friday evening?
Melksham Scouts are offering a unique opportunity to get into the Christmas Spirit on Friday 27th November between 6.00pm and 9.00pm.
Come down to the Scout Hut (opposite Sainsbury’s) grab a bite to eat at the festive barbecue, do a bit of Christmas shopping with local small businesses and Crafters, have a story and a chat with Santa and raise money for a fab cause, that supports nearly 100 young people in Melksham.
Tickets to visit Santa, which include a hot dog, a drink, a Story with Santa and an individual wrapped present are available in advance from the scout hut on a Tuesday or Thursday evening or on the evening.
Claire Neil, Group Scout Leader said, “We are delighted to be able to offer something a bit different this year; we are hoping that the community will get behind the idea and that children will enjoy the opportunity to share a story with Santa. We have some great stalls and want to thank all the local businesses who have supported us this year.”
Melksham Scouts will also be running their extremely popular local community Post Service this year. For just 20p per card you can have your Christmas cards delivered by hand to your friends and family in the local community.
Post Boxes are available in many of the shops in Melksham, or you can bring your cards to the scout hut. All monies collected go directly to support the children and young people.
