THIRD Melksham Brownies are working hard towards their fundraising badges by collecting shoeboxes and saving change, and are busy making gifts to sell at the town’s Christmas Fayre.
Brown Owl Debbie Marchant said, “As part of our work towards our fundraising badge, the Brownies have been collecting items to fill shoeboxes to support Operation Christmas Child.
“This week the girls filled 15 boxes which we hope will enable less fortunate children to have a very Happy Christmas.
“Also as part of the badge work, we are collecting coins for this year’s chosen local charity Wiltshire Mind.
“We will be having a stall at the Christmas Fayre on 5th December selling items the girls have made, and will be singing carols at Asda on 12th December to collect for a fantastic trip we have planned for the new year.
“Happy Christmas from 3rd Melksham Brownies!”
