WATCH more great films this month at Melksham’s own cinema at the Assembly Hall, where three more movies are lined up to take away the January blues.
Everest (12A) will be shown on Friday 15th January at 7.30pm. Jason Clarke and Josh Brolin star in an adventure in which two expedition teams are struck by a violent storm while climbing Mount Everest. The adventurers are trapped in one of the fiercest blizzards ever encountered by man.
Challenged by the harshest conditions imaginable, the teams must endure blistering winds and freezing temperatures in an epic battle to survive against nearly impossible odds.
Tickets are £6 or two time credits per person.
Suffragette (12A) will show on Friday 29th January at 7.30pm. Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne-Marie Duff star in this British period drama that tracks the story of the foot soldiers of the early feminist movement, women who were forced underground to pursue a dangerous game of cat and mouse with an increasingly brutal State.
Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie (PG) will be shown on Saturday 30th December at 10.30am. Life always seems complicated for good old Charlie Brown, who always tries his best against seemingly impossible odds.
When the Little Red-Haired Girl moves into his neighbourhood, Charlie develops a crush on her. Meanwhile, his best friend Snoopy embarks on an epic adventure in a fantasy world. As a World War I flying ace, the lovable beagle pursues his nemesis, the Red Baron, while also trying to win the heart of a beautiful poodle named Fifi.
