NEXT up at Melksham Rock & Roll Club are The Fireballs UK on Saturday 22nd April at Melksham Assembly Hall.
“If you love British Rock ‘n’ Roll you’ll love them,” said Geoff Mitcham from the club. “We’ve been trying to get these guys for a several years so you are sure of a fabulous evening!”
The Fireballs UK have been playing late 1950s/early 60’s Rock ‘n’ Roll since 2006 with the same band members.
“Our emphasis is on the ‘British Rock ‘n’ Roll sound’, with numbers in our set from Cliff Richard and the Shadows, Johnny Kidd, Billy Fury etc,” says the group. “We also play a number of big guitar instrumental hits from the era and into the mix, we play classic USA ‘big hits’ of the Rock ‘n’ Roll era from such artists as Bill Haley, Chuck Berry and Eddie Cochran.
“The band is very popular with dancers, as we play many numbers at jive tempo. We are very much looking forward to playing for the first time at the excellent Melksham Rock ‘n’ Roll club on April 22nd.”
