FLORAL displays could soon pop up inside two telephone boxes adopted by the town council at Spa Road and Littlejohn Avenue.
The idea, put forward by the town council’s communications and events officer, was supported at a committee meeting last month when councillors agreed it could be funded out of the South West in Bloom budget.
“The one at [Littlejohn Avenue by the] Pig and Whistle, I’d like that to be flowers,” said cllr Pat Aves. “[It’s] an area that could do with cheering up and it’s opposite a row of houses. The pub I am sure would help look after it as well. Just go for it.”
