Folk group Scuppered entertained a full house at Shaw Church on Friday 9th October, with the audience donating £150 to WaterAid.
The latest Live at Shaw concert featured modern and traditional folk songs alongside sea shanties. The trio – Peter, John and Andy – performed songs by James Taylor, The Beatles and Peter Sarstedt, playing instruments including guitar, mandolin and harmonica.
Organiser Dianne Briggs said, “The audience soon got involved, singing heartily in the choruses. Peter, John and Andy showed not only their vocal skills but also their command of a range of instruments.
“The audience were also generous and donated £150 for WaterAid, one of the charities our parish is supporting this year.
“Our last concert for the year will be on 21st November when we welcome back Chippenham Male Voice Choir. Look out for the information in the next issue of Melksham News.”
