THE Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for Forest & Sandridge CE Primary School, Forest Friends, has raised over £8,000 to go towards the purchase of new iPads for the school.
Funds were raised through various events organised by the PTA including discos, fairs and clothing collections.
One member of Forest Friends, Sam Balecke, said, “The Forest Friends PTA group has worked extremely hard to raise just over £8,000 to help replace the iPads in the school.
“This money was raised by family and friends of children at the school attending our many events over the year.
“We are now planning lots of events for the rest of this year and next year. I want to take this opportunity to thank my colleagues within the Forest Friends PTA group for all who support us.”
Deputy headteacher James Mead said, “We are really grateful to our PTA Forest Friends for donating a substantial amount of money. This will really support not only our provision and curriculum delivery but also our times table practice, particularly in Year 4! We are so thankful for their hard work and dedication.”
