A FORMER George Ward pupil is making a triumphant return to the town next month as part of the Melksham Food and River Festival.
Best known in the town for winning Classic FM’s Singer of the Year at the age of 17 in 2007, Rhiannon Lambert is now a nutritionist based on London’s Harley Street specialising in weight management, eating disorders and sports nutrition.
Adrienne Westbrook, chair of the Festival committee said, “Melksham Food and River Festival are delighted to announce that former George Ward Pupil, Rhiannon Lambert, will feature in the Leekes Marquee on Sunday 3rd September.
“As a leading Harley Street nutritionist, Rhiannon will share what a lifetime of eating well means to her. She will empower you to embrace a new healthy way of living through the food you enjoy and the life you lead, encouraging everything in moderation to regain a sense of balance.
“As a professional soprano who trained at the Royal Academy of Music, Rhiannon learned early on the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. Her belief that nutrition can play a significant role in your overall health, wellbeing and appearance has been tested as she has performed all over the world.
“Her qualified approach to nutrition and total dedication to her clients’ needs has seen Rhiannon work with some of the world’s most influential people.
“Creative in her approach to ingredients, she has won over Masterchef’s Gregg Wallace and is responsible for developing menus at London’s most celebrated healthy eateries, such as The Detox Kitchen.
“Rhiannon has also worked with Olympic athletes, witnessing the dramatic impact nutrition can have on performance at the highest level and showing that food and fitness should work together to keep us in peak condition.
“Additionally, her experience working alongside cardiologists and general practitioners at NHS hospitals has seen her demonstrate the influence nutrition has in metabolic syndrome and recovery.”
