THE Kings Arms Hotel in Melksham will be offering a free drink on Sunday 13th November to all those who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces.
Landlady Jade Lundean said, “This is just our way of saying thank you to our veterans and those currently serving in the armed forces. We don’t believe they get enough support so we wanted to do something to show our appreciation.
“We’re open from 11am on Remembrance Sunday so once you’ve been to the parade in the town, please do come down and see us. As long has you have a uniform on or medals, you will receive a free drink. We will also be holding a raffle with all the money going to the military charity SSAFA. We would welcome any donations from local businesses.
“I would encourage everyone to attend the parade on Remembrance Sunday and pay their respects. It’s so important to show gratitude to those who gave their lives and also to the continued sacrifice of the men and women in our armed services.”
