A message from the Royal Opera House
ON #WorldTheatreDay we are proud to announce the next in the series of free Royal Opera House (ROH) broadcasts.
Get under the skin of one of the world’s most famous cultural institutions as we bring you curated online broadcasts, musical masterclasses and cultural insights in this period of closure.
Today we are thrilled to announce two new full-length Royal Opera House productions available on Facebook and YouTube:
- Gloriana, The Royal Opera, 2013 – 24 April, 7pm BST
- The Winter’s Tale, The Royal Ballet, 2014 – 1 May, 7pm BST
Royal Opera House content is also available on BBC radio with Beethoven favourite, Fidelio broadcast on Radio 3 at 6.30pm on Saturday 28 March. BBC Radio 3 is available all over the world via the BBC Sounds app.
In this uncertain time, and as productions and events are postponed at the Royal Opera House and around the world, we are presenting new content weekly for audiences to access anywhere, anytime across the globe, bringing both ballet and opera to every home and every device.
Our dancers, artists, orchestra players and chorus have been busy creating content for the ROH social media channels to bring our artforms to life and go behind the scenes of ballet and opera. We will be sharing this insight daily so look out for updates and announcements via The Royal Opera House’s social media channels to experience the very best of the ROH from your living room.
The following free ROH broadcasts have already been announced:
