Melksham’s Macapello Choir is five years old this September and to celebrate, the community choir is inviting people for a free singing session on Wednesday 14th September at Aloeric School.
New choir leader Dave King took over the choir in May and has continued with the group’s tradition of learning songs by heart, so that anyone can learn them whether they have a musical background or not.
A wide range of music is covered from pop and folk to melodious songs from around the world.
“It’s a fun, welcoming and supportive team,” said Jane, one of the choir members. “I especially enjoyed our concert in Melksham in July this year. I get such a buzz from seeing family and friends enjoy our performance and I really value the friends I have made.”
The singing session starts at 7.30pm and finishes at 9.30pm. For more details contact Dave on 07849 060243.
