Free sports sessions for secondary school–aged girls are returning following the success of last year’s pilot.
The sessions will run every Thursday in term time from 16th April at Wiltshire Youth Canoe Club in King George V Park, from 5pm to 6pm.
The US Girls sessions, run by Wiltshire Council, provide free, relaxed sessions designed specifically for girls. The organisation is partnering with Nike and Streetgames to offer activities including football, rugby, dance, dodgeball, fitness and water sports.
The sessions are designed to enable girls to try new sports and activities, build confidence, enjoy a no-pressure environment, make new friends and get active.
Organisers say, “Come join us, let’s get active, feel great and have fun together.”
