Osteopath Marianne Carpenter is giving a free talk about headaches on Thursday 1st November, at Lowbourne Osteopaths in Melksham.
The talk will cover the different types of headache, including the most common types or primary headache – tension headaches, cervicogenic headache (arising from problems in the neck) and migraine.
Marianne is completing research into migraine headaches at Swansea Medical School and will discuss some of the latest theories about the causes of this debilitating condition, which affects around 1 in 7 of the adult population, with a heavy bias towards women.
The talk will also outline treatment approaches to headache elimination or management from a manual therapy perspective. The talk will start at 6pm, and places are limited, so please call reception to book your space on 704883.
