BBC’s Flog It presenter, Paul Martin, who is a local air ambulance ambassador, will be at Melksham Assembly Hall on Saturday 25th January giving free valuations on items.
Organisers say, “With over half a century of experience in the industry, BBC’s Flog It host, Paul Martin, alongside specialists from Henry Aldridge & Son Ltd, will give a guide price on what each item should expect to sell for if it was taken to auction.
“Attendees will have the option to put forward their item/s for sale at the Fine Art Antiques and Collectables Sale auctions on Saturday 1st February or Saturday 14th March – with 100% of the seller’s commission from every sale being donated to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.”
Paul Martin, who lives in Seend said, “I’ve been an ambassador for Wiltshire Air Ambulance for three years now because it’s a charity that is so important to the local area.
“It requires the support of the public and local businesses, such as Henry Aldridge & Son Ltd, to help generate the £3.75million it needs every year to keep flying and saving lives. I’m really looking forward to linking up with Henry Aldridge & Son Ltd for this project, which will benefit the people of Wiltshire and their air ambulance.
“So if you’ve got an antique or a collectable stashed away, even if you don’t plan to sell it, why not pop along and receive a free valuation on Saturday 25th January. The event will run from 10am-3pm and valuations are free.”
Wiltshire Air Ambulance fundraising manager Des Regan said, “This is a fantastic way for one of our ambassadors to use their skills and link up with a local business to help generate funds for our charity.
“We can’t thank Paul and the team at Henry Aldridge & Son Ltd enough for their support in putting on this event, as well as Melksham Assembly Hall for hosting us, and we’d like to see as many people as possible coming out to support the event.”
