A FUNDRAISER to treat all those who have been involved at Melksham’s Covid vaccine centre, as a thank you from the community, has so far raised nearly £1,400.
The campaign aims to raise £2,000 in a gesture of appreciation to the 100 plus people involved in the vaccination programme at Spencer Sports and Social Club, which has been nicknamed ‘Team Spencer’s’.
The fundraiser was launched by High Street micropub, The Hiding Place, and Market Place café, Eddy’s, in June.
The two local businesses will offer members of the Covid vaccination team a free drink and bite to eat to express Melksham’s gratitude. Both businesses will be providing this at cost and their staff will work for free. Any excess money raised by the campaign will be shared between Wiltshire Mind and Young Melksham. All the fundraising will be overseen by an independent auditor.
