THE family of John Bond are holding a fundraiser for Sarcoma UK at Leekes in Melksham on Saturday 28th March from 3pm.
John, who worked for A B Gerrish Transport in Melksham for over 20 years died from sarcoma, a rare form of cancer that affects the bone and soft tissue, seven months after his diagnosis.
During the event his daughter Louisa will be braving the shave to help raise money and awareness of the charity and disease.
All proceeds will go towards her sponsorship as she attempts to run the London Marathon next month.
There will be an opportunity to ‘bid per shave’ so you can join in.
John’s daughter, Alison Argar said, “We have a huge amount of support from his colleagues and think this will be a very well attended event and aim to raise as much as we can for research into this very rare cancer.”
