THERE is still time to take part in Melksham Foodbank’s ‘reverse advent calendar’ scheme.
On the countdown to Christmas, instead of getting a chocolate, gift or beauty product each day, why don’t you donate an item a day throughout the whole of December.
The food bank said, “With just a little giving every day, you could provide a hamper of goodies for those in need this Christmas.
“Copies of the calendar are available now from the Town Hall. We only provide non-perishable food because we do not have the facilities for preserving fresh produce.
“Please help us by ensuring that donated food is within its ‘use-by’ date, since anything date-expired cannot be used.”
Drop-off stations for items are Asda, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose or Co-op supermarkets or any church in Melksham.
