MELKSHAM Cricket Club is running a gnome trail in the town centre over the next six weeks to raise money to replace equipment destroyed in a fire last year.
There are now around 50 gnomes dotted around business and shop windows in Melksham and contestants will have to find them all and work out which country each represents. Entry forms cost £2 and can be picked up from CJ’s Cafe in the Littlebrook Centre or from The Cobbler’s Bench on Bath Road. The competition runs until Monday 13th March and the winner will receive a cash prize.
Organiser Deborah Burns said, “All funds raised will go towards the cricket club replacing equipment lost in the pavilion fire last year. It’ll be fun for all! A great opportunity to help us raise funds and take a walk round town and support local businesses!”
