LOCAL business, Gompels has given £250 to the Melksham Carnival committee towards the running costs of this year’s event.
James Pritchard, head of customer services at Gompels said, “Gompels is a family run business that has been in Melksham for many, many years so we always like to support local events and the community. This is the third year we have supported the carnival and very pleased to do so.”
Simon Hedley, chair of the Carnival Committee said, “We are delighted to have received this cheque from Gompels. We received a grant from Melksham Town Council and Melksham Without Parish Council but other than that, fundraising and kind donations like this are our only source of income. We are very grateful.”
