Read Easy Melksham is in need of a new coordinator to volunteer for 15 to 16 hours a week and help organise the adults’ learn-to-read scheme.
The group’s chairman David Williams said, “Read Easy has been operating successfully for two years now, teaching adults with poor reading skills to read on a friendly, confidential and one-to-one basis.
“We have just reached a significant obstacle, however, in the resignation on health grounds of our lovely coordinator Pauline.
“If you or anyone you know is looking for some local voluntary work, 15 or 16 hours a week and with an interest in changing lives through literacy please contact us.
“Read Easy Melksham is affiliated to Read Easy UK which is a registered charity, established nearly seven years. Our group is the only one in Wiltshire and we rely on personal and professional referrals for our readers-to-be.
“We are a very friendly group of people and would welcome any further interest in our voluntary work.”
