How can we improve Melksham Assembly Hall?

“The Melksham Assembly Hall is a great community asset, but could it be even better?” This question will be put to the public at two public feedback sessions at the Assembly Hall on Thursday 30th November.

The sessions at 10.30am, and 7.30pm will be attended by members of the town council – including the mayor and deputy mayor – and CaSA Architects who are helping to develop the brief. All are welcome.

“The feedback sessions are part of a consultation process to help form the brief for improvements to the Assembly Hall,” said mayor Adrienne Westbrook. “Getting the brief right is key to a successful project that serves the needs of the community. We want to hear your thoughts. The open feedback session will ask what you like about the existing building, what you don’t like, and what your vision is for the Assembly Hall. During the last 15 minutes of the session we will turn your visions into a future guided tour, and a ‘tour guide’ will take the group on a tour of the future Assembly Hall as you see it.

“If you can’t make the meeting, we would still like to hear your thoughts. An online survey is available through www. surveymonkey.co.uk/r/JPY87TS, as well as a popup invitation on the Melksham Town Council website, and through our facebook and twitter pages. Paper copies of the survey are available at the Assembly Hall and Town Hall. The survey will close on 5th December. Many thanks for all the valuable feedback we have already received.”
