HUNDREDS of mourners came together at St Michael’s Church to say goodbye to a Seend teenager at his funeral.
Many friends and family attended the service and paid their tributes to Max Lewis by wearing pink polka dot dressing gowns, similar to one Max was often seen wearing, and by wearing wristbands that read ‘Max Lewis Gone but never forgotten RIP 09/01/1995-15/11/2014.’ Many also took a single flower to add to the family flowers.
After the service at St Michael’s Church close friends and family attended a burial ceremony at Holy Cross Church, Seend.
Emotional messages were left for Max on his Facebook page. Harriet Smart said, “An amazing send off for such a beautiful young man. You’ll be missed by everyone so much! I’ll always be thinking of you and your funny ways and lovely smile” while Chelsie Forester said, “Beautiful send off for you today even though it was really sad, & it just goes to show how many people love you. Rest in peace Max.”
