The King George V play area is now closed to allow for the relocation and installation of a new play area next to the splash pad.
The play area will be closed for approximately two months. Melksham Town Council has said that it hopes to open a new “exciting and much-improved” play area near the splash pad at the beginning of April.
They say, “There will be a lot of new apparatus but some favourites from the current play area will also be incorporated.
“Melksham Town Council has liaised carefully with the manufacturers and installation team to ensure that Covid-19 safety guidelines will be followed throughout the build process. The rest of the King George V park will remain open to be enjoyed, as long as government guidelines are followed.
“There is an alternative play area called the Woody, if you just follow the Clacker’s Brook walkway.”
