FRIDAY 18th February is the deadline to sign up for this month’s Bowerhill Bomber race, which is raising money for Melksham Carnival.
The run is scheduled for Sunday 27th February in Bowerhill Sports Field, and there is a 10k or 5k route for runners to take part in.
“After the great success of The Bowerhill Bomber (summer) we thought we would organise a winter version,” say event organiser, Redfish Events. “This event covers country lanes, fields, towpaths and some road, which makes this run a picturesque countryside run. There are stiles, gates, bridges and hopefully lots of mud!
“The 10k race is open to runners over the age of 16 years on the day of the race. The 5K race is open to all, but under 10s must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are welcome on a lead. We regret that the course is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.”
