THE owners of Andy York Photography will be holding a leaving party in March, as they prepare to retire and close the business.
Andy York Photography owned by Andy and Christine York, is a well-known photography and framing business in Melksham that is closing on Friday 31st March.
As the couple prepare to retire and close the business, they will be holding a leaving party in the Littlebrook Centre courtyard on Saturday 25th March, weather permitting, to say ‘thank you’ and ‘farewell’ to the community for support over the last 31 years.
Christine said, “We would like to invite anyone and everyone to join us on the day, as we say thank you to the town for all their support and goodbye after so many years.”
Music will be provided by Antigua Joe, who is returning to Melksham to play a mix of reggae, ska, calypso and Caribbean style music.
The services Andy York photography has provided over the years have included photography, passport and ID photographs, photograph restoration, photography workshops, picture framing, and selling Andy’s artwork.
They have also made the annual Melksham Memories calendars, collecting and restoring images of Melksham’s past, raising funds for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Around the end of February, the Andy York Photography website will close down, Andy said, “After the website has closed, the Melksham Memories catalogue will continue to be available on Facebook, simply type Melksham Memories into the Facebook search, prints will be available to purchase and profits will still go to support the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.”
