A TALK about a complementary therapy from Australia will be held at the Town Hall next month.
The talk, titled ‘Pain and The Bowen Technique’, presented by Julian Baker – son of town stalwart Pauline Baker – will be held on Monday 4th July and Monday 11th July, both starting at 7pm.
Organisers say, “The Bowen Technique, a light touch therapy from Australia, was first introduced to the UK by Julian Baker when he arrived in Frome in 1992 fresh from his travels ‘Down Under’. 30 years later it has gone from strength to strength and with two best-selling books and the UK’s largest Bowen training school under his belt, Julian Baker is holding a series of talks focussing on Pain and The Bowen Technique.
“In these light-hearted talks, Julian will explain how and why we experience pain, what is happening when we do, and what we can do to alter our perception of it, as well as explain a little of the role that Bowen plays in helping things along.
“Julian’s unique skill is that he breaks down difficult subjects into easy to follow information that has gained him thousands of YouTube followers and students over the years.”
You can reserve a space by emailing Julian at: julianmarkbaker@gmail.com or calling 07778 641171.
