LIVE music and the first ‘Village Get Together’ are all coming up at the White Hart this week.
This Friday, 27th April, Custryd Pye take to the stage. The band are sure to get you up on your feet with their take on classic rock tunes that everybody loves but not too many play.
Songs like Reelin’ In The Years by Steely Dan or Life In The Fast Lane by The Eagles are complemented with slightly more modern takes on songs like The Kinks’ Waterloo Sunset or The Small Faces’ Song Of A Baker, and passionate renditions of Buffalo Springfield’s For What It’s Worth or the Python Lee Jackson classic In A Broken Dream.
Music starts at 9pm until 11.30pm.
This Sunday, 29th April, the pub will be hosting its first ‘Village Get Together’, which is planned to be a regular event on the last Sunday of every month.
The event will involve food and entertainment from the village and a meat draw. The pub is looking for volunteers to help with the entertainment and cooking.
Landlords Nathan and Kirsty say, “Fancy cooking for the village? Now is your chance! Come and cook with us in our kitchen with your own recipe.
“Do you play an instrument? Have a band? In a group? Want to exhibit something? We are looking for entertainment each month too!”
Tickets are on sale for this Sunday’s get together which starts at 5pm and runs until 7pm.
