THERE is more live music at The White Hart in Atworth over the coming weekends with rhythm and blues taking centre stage.
Savvy Soul will play on Friday 24th February from 9pm, bringing their own high energy mix of genres reminiscent of the old R&B/soul age but ‘gilt-edged’ with rock.
The smooth, soulful female vocals and bluesy guitar lines, all backed by the powerhouse of Savvy’s rhythm section, is something to behold.
Then on Sunday 5th March, The Sitting Tenants will play from 4pm to 7pm. The band play their own material with influences from British rhythm and blues and psych-garage-rock.
The band boasts two guitars, throbbing bass, steamhammer drums and wailing blues harp. Inspired sometimes by The Pretty Things, The Kinks and The Downliners Sect.
