FOREST and Sandridge School welcomed local artist, Lisa Metcalfe, to work with the children to produce large abstract art that represented their new school values.
The children enjoyed spending the day designing and painting with Lisa. They designed abstract pieces of art to represent the Christian values of their school; respect, courage, compassion and humility.
Helen Biles-Wood, deputy headteacher said, “We have recently worked on our school Christian values to ensure they are at the heart of all that we do. They are rooted in Christian teaching and we are all working together to ensure we demonstrate these in everything we do.
“The work with the artist will continue the focus on those values and be a reminder for the children and adults, of these around the school.
“The children all had a fantastic experience which was enjoyed by all ages of children from pre-school to year 6, and the art will look great displayed in the school hall.”
