MELKSHAM’S award winning funeral directors D. J. Bewley have teamed up with a local flag merchant to offer a new service to the people in Melksham and the surrounding area.
Meadowland, based in Southwick, now provides a huge range of flags for Bewley customers to be used at funerals. The flags can be draped over coffins or used as decorations, and are often used for military services.
Undertaker Darren Taylor said, “Flags are definitely becoming more popular at funeral services; I’d say 30% – 40% of families ask for flags now.” Bob Greatwood of Meadowland said, “We’re very pleased to be working with Bewley’s and to be able to offer this service to people.
“We have a huge range of flags available and like to think we can cater to everyone’s needs, and at short notice if necessary. We have a lot of military, county, and country flags.”
