TICKETS are still available for Melksham Town FC’s sportsman’s dinner next month, which will feature former Arsenal star Ray Parlour as a special guest.
Melksham Town will host the fundraiser at Melksham Assembly Hall on Thursday 12th November, with some very special guests coming along to support and entertain.
Darren Perrin said, “Tickets are selling really well for the evening, but there are still some left for those who want to join in.
“The dinner is a big night for the club and for the town. We are very pleased to have Ray Parlour attending the evening. Ray is most famous for his time at Arsenal FC and winning ten caps playing for England. Now he is a regular football pundit on television and radio. To have him as a guest is amazing.
“We’ve also got the hilariously funny comedian John Stiles, son of Nobby Stiles who played every minute of England’s victorious 1966 FIFA World Cup campaign. We’re expecting some great stories about his time as a professional footballer and hopefully a few about his dad.
“For the first time, we’ve got a compere for the evening. The brilliant Phil King will be keeping everything in order and I’m sure telling a few stories of his footballing days at Aston Villa and Swindon Town.
“The tickets cost £45 which includes a two-course meal. There will be opportunities to meet the special guests and have photos and autographs. It’s going to be a fantastic night and I really hope Melksham support it. It’s not just great for the club, it’s great for the town.”
