Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey visited Melksham recently for a lively Q&A session with local party members at the Assembly Hall.
The leader travelled to the town on Friday 31st January to meet with members of the Liberal Democrats.
Local councillor and event organiser Cllr Adrienne Westbrook said they discussed the party’s historic election victory, which saw Brian Mathew become the local MP.
“We had the chance to show Ed firsthand what determined members and grassroots action can achieve,” said Adrienne.
Sir Ed Davey and MP Brian Mathew began the day at the Wiltshire FA in Devizes, where they played football with young people taking part in ‘Roots and Shoots’—a 15-week initiative promoting social inclusion, personal development, and crime prevention.
