WEST Country Educational Agency is celebrating its 25th year of supplying teachers and teacher assistants to primary schools in Wiltshire, Somerset, Bath and beyond.
The agency opened its office, based next to the Post Office in Melksham, in 1999, originally helping three local primary schools cover staff sickness. Today, they work with over 250 schools and academies providing both temporary and permanent cover in primary schools.
“We’ve kept our office team small yet dynamic; we are all specialists in our field and passionate about what we do,” explains director Annie Benham.
“Everyone is aware of the national shortage of teachers in the UK, and the West Country is no different – without supply cover many of our schools would have to close. At West Country, we’re always growing and expanding our friendly, busy team of teachers and teaching assistants, especially in Melksham, Trowbridge, Westbury, Frome and throughout Wiltshire.
“If you’re an early-career teacher, returning to teaching or relocating, a qualified teaching assistant, or thinking of training to work with children, we can provide you with information, support, training and placements. We would love to hear from you.
“Call us on 01225 706726, email us at staff@westcountryagency.co.uk or pop into our office in Canon Square, Melksham, for a coffee and a chat.
“Your skills could really make a difference to our local schools; whether that be for a day, a week, or permanently, there will be a class delighted to see you.”
