LOCAL woman, Pam Muller, has put together a book of poems she has written, with money raised from sales being donated to local causes.
Friend of Pam, Martina Gibbs said, “Pam has read her wonderful verses to us on various occasions, and for years we have asked her to make them available in written form. She has finally put them together in a little book with lovely photographs, most of them taken by her. It is the ideal coffee table present and I have bought four already. There is something interesting and inspiring in there for everyone.”
Pam said, “During the course of time people have suggested I get my poems published, having shared them at meetings and other places. Recently a friend gave me the courage to go ahead; and thoughts from the 1950s to 1980s are now available in ‘Through the Years – Pam’s Prayers’ – covering a variety of topics including the seasons, the beauty of the countryside, friendship, remembrance, life’s experiences, faith etc. along with illustrations.
“St. Michaels’ and St. Andrews’ Churches are planning to have work done to make them more welcoming and open to the community, plus St. Barnabas Church is wishing to donate to the Samara’s Aid, an appeal for Iraq and Syria. My book seemed a good way to contribute to these causes.”
The book is available to buy in the churches for £5.50 or call 791977.
