LOCAL couple, Estelle Edney and Mel King have completed their London to Paris cycle challenge raising over £7,500 for Sepsis UK in memory of Estelle’s brother, Keiren.
Keiren died from a rare form of sepsis in 2016 at the age of 21. The popular member of the community worked as a teaching assistant at Melksham Oak School and was also the coach for the under 16s team at Melksham Town Football Club. The challenge saw Estelle and Mel cycle approximately 300 miles from London to Paris.
They said, “We would like to thank everyone who donated for their support and generosity. We have raised over double our original target of £2,600.
“A special thanks to all the girls at TOPS for all their hard work raising money. To Keith Taylor for arranging the really successful race night at The Conservative Club. Thanks to David Charman for his donation and all the customers at The Fisheries for their donations too.”
